Prospect Bay Country Club has a number of clubs and hosts a number of events that provide much social interaction for club members. The Prospect Bay Yacht Club is one of the largest and most active groups within the country club. Our 141 members in 2018 and the number growing in 2019 provide a welcoming forum for social engagement, fellowship and just having fun together.

The Yacht Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM beginning in March for appetizers and generally a themed dinner party. For those with a need for a little exercise prior to the meeting, nine holes of scramble golf should do the trick.

The Thursday meetings always include dinner and some type of social activity or some type of entertainment. Some of the event themes planned for 2019 include Mardi Gras, a theatrical production (Mafia murder), a summer solstice party, a live jazz band and a red carpet movie themed party (dress up like your favorite Hollywood actor/actress).

In addition to the Thursday meetings, several annual events characterize the idea of getting together and enjoying the fellowship. The picnic, the scrumptious all you can eat Chesapeake bay crab feast, the mystery trip (always a mystery until after you get on the bus) and finally the crowning event, the Commodore's Ball.

Although a "Yacht Club" implies boating, there is no requirement of owning a boat to join our club. The majority of our events have nothing to do with boating. However, you do have to want to have fun and enjoy being together with some very fine people.
